Specifically, I was looking for something with dark fantasy and a story that just throws you into the world without much explanation. I ended up searching for books like Dark Souls. I love cryptic storytelling if it is done well. You may be asking, "GroundbreakingParty9 what does this have to do with Malazan?" To which I would respond with an emphatic, "Everything!" In all seriousness though, I realized something about myself by playing this games. Now, I love playing videogames and specifically I am very into the FromSoftware's library of games from Demon's Souls, to Dark Souls and its sequels, Bloodborne, and Sekiro.
